Survival Guide - Grid Down · Effective November 3, 2026
In short: the app does not collect any data. Everything you enter stays on your phone. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Purchases are handled by Apple.
What the app collects
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. We have no servers that the app talks to.
What stays on your phone
The things you enter (your household size, water and food amounts, checklists, timers, worksheets, inventory, daily log, and emergency info card) are saved only in the app’s storage on your device. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes this data.
No accounts, analytics, ads, or tracking
There is no sign-up or login. The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking code, and it does not use your location, contacts, camera, microphone, or photos.
Purchases
Grid Down Pro is bought through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment; we never see your name, Apple ID, or payment details. The app only learns whether Pro is unlocked and remembers that on your phone. Apple’s handling of your purchase is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Notifications
If you turn on fridge and freezer alerts, they are scheduled on your phone. No notification service or server is involved.
Backup files and PDFs
If you create a backup file or a PDF, it is made on your phone and goes only where you send it from the share sheet (for example, the Files app or AirDrop). We never receive it.
Links
The app has a link to the book’s page on Amazon. Tapping it opens your web browser, and Amazon’s privacy policy applies there.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
